Ladillas (Pediculus pubis)
Definición y sintomatología.
Se conoce por ladillas la infestación del vello púbico, ya sea por el parásito (Pediculus pubis o Phthirius pubis) o por sus huevos. Es una enfermedad de transmisión sexual.
Se transmiten por el contacto entre el vello púbico de dos personas durante las relaciones sexuales cuando una de ellas está infectada.
La infección por ladillas no es grave su único síntoma es que provoca un picor molesto en la zona púbica, pero no provocan lesiones cutáneas; estas si están presentes, son provocadas por el rascado del sujeto sobre la zona.
Diagnóstico.
Las ladillas y sus huevos se pueden observar a simple vista en el vello aunque a veces es necesario utilizar lentes de aumento para observarlas.
Tratamiento y prevención.
Hexacloro benceno. Se enjabona la zona durante 5 min sin agua y frotando bien, y luego se le pasa un peine de púas para eliminar los huevos. Luego de la utilización del champú se recomienda aplicar vinagre sobre la zona para facilitar la caída de los huevos del parásito q se encuentran adheridos al vello.
A veces una sólo lavado es suficiente, de no serlo, se debe realizar el tratamiento todos los días durante una semana.
Para evitar la infestación por ladillas se debe realizar una higiene intensa y exhaustiva después de las relaciones sexuales, así como se recomienda el afeitado de la zona púbica.
